Everything you need to know about the game
Touch anywhere and that spot becomes your pivot - drag to turn the nose, and you thrust as far as you pull. Let go and the engine cuts, so you glide in zero gravity: line up early. Double-tap and hold to warp (2.5x thrust, 1.7x top speed) - the gauge at the bottom centre lasts 4 seconds and refills in 8. Each run your engine warms up over the first 5 seconds.
Your gun never stops firing ahead. Break enemies and asteroids and H-Coins burst out by size and stream into your ship (5 m magnet). Every 5, 8, 11... coins your firepower goes up a stage - single shot, rapid, twin, three-way... up to the sides and rear, fifteen stages ending in a 34-bullet storm. Grab an item floating in space for an instant extra stage. Every ship fires its own shape and colour of shot.
Hold the centre of the joystick at the lower left to raise your shield - it drains energy, and attacks stronger than its rating break through (the free one stops only small lasers). The eight slots at the lower right are items - use what you own or buy on the spot with H-Coins. When you are surrounded or nearly dead, a bomb pops up on the right to clear the screen - its price rises with your level and with every use this run.
Distance flown plus kills fill the level bar at the top centre; level up and your hull refills, with 5 seconds to breathe. From level 2, a big battle starts at 70% of the bar: after a 4-second warning giant bosses arrive one by one - monsters that fire a beam from their jaws and colossal warships that fill the screen. Defeat them all for 24 H-Coins. A planet's surface ends your run on touch, and your rented ship drops to the scrap Scrap-V when its rental runs out.
9 missions reset every midnight. Complete them all for maximum rewards!
Reach the required level to permanently unlock a title. Titles are displayed on your profile and are never revoked.
Bosses are the face of AstroMaster. Small (S) and medium (M) bosses mix in with ordinary enemies, while giant bosses (L) appear one by one in the big battle at 70% of the level bar after a 4-second warning - they are announced by name, the view widens and small enemies pull back. The eight with jaws open wide to threaten you, then fire a beam. At higher levels a colossal boss (XL) closes the battle, covering the screen and never letting you go until it falls. Big bodies never overlap - they shove each other. Badges show size, first level and health in the app.
Rushes straight at you and explodes on contact.
Drifts slowly and fires rings of electric shots.
Darts around erratically with twin stingers.
Keeps its distance and launches homing missiles.
Glides sideways, firing slow plasma orbs.
Opens its jaws to spit poison - then a beam.
Dashes in and slashes with a three-way spread.
Strafes out of the dark with twin shots.
Hangs back and launches attack drones.
Crystal giant: five-way spread and a jaw beam.
Coils across the screen, twin shots and a mouth beam.
A walking rock: slow, huge and it rams you.
Chases you, spitting lava orbs and a fire beam.
Holds its ground behind ice: five-way spread and beam.
Circles around you, firing rings that twist.
Brings the storm: lightning rings as it chases.
A dragon of the sun: fireballs and a solar beam.
Tentacles and a gaping maw - big and colossal.
Colossal warship that fills the screen: broadsides.
Colossal core that heals itself - never lets you go.
Ships are rented with H-Coins every run - when the rental runs out the ship blows up and you drop to the scrap Scrap-V, flying on (The Drop). Each differs in thrust, turning, mass and top speed; pricier ships take less damage (up to 60% less), hit harder per shot and fire completely different patterns and sub-weapons. You can rent one before its unlock level at three times the price, or buy boarding passes (one launch each) in the shop.

The shield is up while you hold the centre of the joystick at the lower left. It blocks an attack only if the attack is no stronger than its defense rating (shield rating plus ship bonus) - the free shield on the free ship stops only small lasers, and nothing stops a planet's surface. Once bought it is yours forever; before its unlock level it costs three times as much.
Free. Stops only small lasers.
Hexagon cells, a solid all-rounder.
Uses the least energy - holds the longest.
The widest bubble - blocks a big area.
Defense 3 - stops missiles and rocks.
Reflects blocked lasers back at enemies.
Burns enemies that touch it.
Blocking costs no energy at all.
Zaps nearby enemies with lightning while on.
Huge and defense 5 - stops almost anything.
Reflects shots and heals you while on.
Every 600 m the sky changes - each run starts in a random theme, and over the last 150 m the nebula colours and light blend into the next. Planets and scenery in the background are deliberately muted to a hazy blue-grey, so only objects with vivid colour and a glowing outline are things you can hit.

Aurora Drift
Supernova Remnant
Frozen Crystal Expanse
